Accepting the Urban Classic award on behalf of Sistah Souljah

It was with immense honor and pride that I accepted the Urban Classic of the Year Award on behalf of the legendary Sistah Souljah for her groundbreaking novel, The Coldest Winter Ever.

As a writer, Sister Souljah’s work has inspired generations, shaping a cultural narrative that resonates deeply. It is my hope and my goal that the words I pen will one day hold the same timeless weight, leaving a lasting impact on those who read them, just as hers have on so many of us.
