Tonight I feel peace

Tonight, I was asked by my sister, Dr. Cynthia Williams, how I feel in this moment after she presented me with my award, and the truth is, I feel honored and seen. When you pour your heart into your work, you don’t do it for the praise or recognition; you do it because you believe in the mission, in the lives you’re touching, and in the change you’re creating. But tonight was different. Tonight, I felt a deep sense of gratitude and validation, surrounded by the love and support of those who see beyond the surface and truly understand the journey.

Being recognized for something so close to my heart, especially by someone as extraordinary as Dr. Cynthia, is a feeling I can’t quite put into words. It’s a reminder that the work we do, the sacrifices we make, and the love we pour into our purpose don’t go unnoticed. It’s also a beautiful affirmation that what we’re doing matters, not just to us, but to the world around us.

Thank you, my Queen, for today. For seeing me, for honoring me, and for reminding me that even in moments of quiet strength, we are never alone. Tonight was beautiful, and I am forever grateful for the love and light you bring into my life.
